Pitztal Glacier Marathon
The Glacier Marathon has been taking place every year since 2006 and is now an established part of the summer sports events programme in Tirol. The Glacier Marathon winds its way through the magnificent mountain scenery of the entire Pitztal valley, starting at the foot of the glacier.

Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail
Under the slogan “Mountains are a state of mind. Running is a state of mind. Salomon brings those states of mind together”, the famous Salomon Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail, an extraordinary event for trail runners, takes place annually in August on the Pitztal Glacier. Unique trails and a spectacular supporting programme including the Trail Food Festival promise perfect conditions for all pros, beginners and interested aficionados.

Pitztal Schneefest
Another highlight is the annual Pitztal Schneefest in St. Leonhard. Much merriment, music and moments of fun enjoyed together in a good atmosphere await locals and holidaymakers alike, as the party in the marquee in Mandarfen lasts from midday until midnight with free admission.
