The Pitztal
valley in winter
An El Dorado for winter sports fans
In the Pitztal valley, winter is all about winter sports and having fun on the slopes. From as early as October, the Pitztal Glacier attracts snow-seeking holidaymakers to Tirol to enjoy the first runs on the slopes. And as soon as the regular winter season has started, the Pitztal valley is an El Dorado for alpine winter sports like freeriding and ski touring.

Cross-country skiing in all its glory
But fans of cross-country skiing will also delight in finding the ideal destination for their winter holiday right here with us. The cross-country trail and the winter walking trails lead right past our hotel and, thanks to the location of our village at 1,400 metres above sea level, nothing will stand in the way of your winter fun. An absolute highlight is the illuminated cross-country night trail in Stillebach (1km away) where you can revel in a very special winter experience.
The area around St. Leonhard is also particularly popular with ski touring enthusiasts, who enjoy making their way from St. Leonhard to the Arzler Alm mountain pasture. There are also some wonderful tours to be found in the Rifflsee ski resort 10 kilometres away and on the glacier.
